A local striping company that answers its own phone
Motana Striping & Sealcoat is a Wylie-based parking lot company run by its owner, Stephane Nembot. We re-stripe faded lots, lay out new ones, seal and crack-fill asphalt, and repaint the handicap stalls and fire lanes that inspectors and visitors notice first. Most of our customers are churches, small business owners and property managers on the east side of Collin County and the Lake Ray Hubbard area — people who want the work done right, priced in writing, and scheduled so nobody has to close their doors.
When you call Motana, you reach Stephane — not a call center and not a lead broker selling your request to four contractors. He measures the lot, writes the bid line by line (lines, stencils, square footage, cracks), and shows up on the day he said he would. Before starting Motana, Stephane played offensive line for the Baltimore Ravens and then spent years running projects as a Scrum Master at Capital One and Bank of America. The habits carried over: plan the work, communicate early, and finish what you start.

Evening and Saturday striping keeps your lot open when you need it.

Just lines, or seal first?
If the asphalt is still dark and solid and only the paint has faded, re-striping alone is the fastest, cheapest way to make a lot look cared for. If the surface has turned grey, rough or cracked, crack-fill and sealcoat first, then stripe — sealcoat covers the old lines anyway, so doing both in one visit saves you a second trip and a second bill. Not sure which you need? Send a photo and we will tell you honestly.

Crack fill, sealcoat and fresh stripes: a tired lot looks new again for far less than repaving.

Common questions
How long does the parking lot have to be closed?
For striping, not long — the paint is usually ready for cars in about 30 minutes in warm weather, and we work in sections so part of the lot stays open. Sealcoat needs about 24 hours without traffic, so we schedule it in sections or over a day when the property is closed.
Can you stripe our church lot without affecting Sunday services?
Yes. Church lots are striped on Saturdays, and the paint is dry long before Sunday morning. If you are also sealcoating, we plan the dates so the surface is dry and re-striped in time for worship.
How much does it cost to re-stripe a parking lot?
Re-striping existing lines is about $5 per line, a little more when old lines are so faded they must be re-measured. Stencils like handicap symbols and arrows are priced individually. Our minimum job is $500. See the full price guide.
How often should a parking lot be re-striped?
In North Texas, every one to two years for most lots — the sun fades paint quickly, and busy drive lanes wear faster. Lots that are sealcoated get new stripes every time they are sealed, because sealcoat covers the old lines.
